evening everybody. i hope you all are having a good week so far. as i have stated earlier, mt brain is now shut off and i can relax for the next 2 weeks. what i wanted to share with you all, is that although i have said that my summer was stressful and difficult, i still love my pre-k class dearly. being a special ed teacher is NOT easy. even though i had 7 kids in my classroom, it was a handful and a half. some were on the autistic spectum, behavioral problems, early bi polar (without meds,) cp/failure to thrive, feeding issues, language and cognitive delays, extra physical support, etc. there were days where i just wanted to jump out the window...but what it ultimately comes down to is that i truly do love my job and all of the kids i work with. also, 4 of my kids, plus others in other classes will be leaving the school. these are children who i have seen grow and progress over the last 2 yrs. it is hard to let go and i did my best not to cry in front of them. i will miss them and i hope that wherever the go, they will continue to succeed and receive the education, love, and care they deserve!!!
