9/24/07Ok so I am really new to this kind of stuff, but I am willing to try anything right now.   I have been suffering periodically with Crohn's since I was about 19. I guess I am one of the lucky ones-mine is on the mild side. I usually only have a "flare" about once a year. This year seems to be different-I have had 2 in the last 9 months. Whether it's getting worse or not is yet to be seen. I go for another colonoscopy tomorrow. We'll see.My Doctor seems to think that STRESS is a huge factor in my case. So my next step is to find an outlet for my stress. I've never had one. I don't have any hobbies or intrests. The only thing I really like to do is read. I read like crazy. I guess I am a pretty boring person. (Which may be a whole other mental issue with me for another time) My husband suggested maybe I should try Yoga. People say its a good stress reliever-learning how to breathe and all that. I think I may try it. It can't hurt right.Right now I am worried about my job. I have been out of work for a week. They kinda understand but not really. I work for a car dealer in the service department and it can get crazy. I work too many hours and at a super crazy pace. It's all about the numbers (money) and my numbers have been falling for a few weeks. which may have contributed to my stress and subsequntial "flare up" It's a vicious circle. I need this job for the excellant medical benefits for my disease but in the same respect I think the job is killing me. So what is a person to do?

tch~ please check out www.ccfa.org it is a web site for the Crohn\'s and Colitis Foundation of America. They can help with legal issues involving employment of Crohn\'s and Ulcerative Colitis patients. I am not a lawyer, but i think that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)prevents you from being fired. I\'m not sure, but it is worth looking into.
Best of luck to you,
