its friday again.  another week has gone and i still dont know my genotype or viral load.  it seems to be taking forever!  why do some ppl only have to wait a week for their bloods to come back i wonder?????  i've been waiting since 20 sept!!  no matter.  i rang the gastro sec yesterday and she tells me that the gastro is writing to me with results and i should receive the letter on monday.  we'll see.  i guess those results arent important for now anyway cos i cant go straight for tx cos of the other things going on.  i am preliminarily scheduled for my thyroidectomy and breast op in 3 weeks time.  yes!  they have agreed to do both ops in one.  that saves me having to go through two recoveries.  thats good news.  thank god!  then, i guess i will have tx for the ca and i s'pose after i'm all balanced up, i can go for tx.  someone told me that i have to be ca free for 5 years before i can have tx for hepc.  i dont know if thats true or not.  i hope not, cos i'm on a roll here.  now i'm on the move i wanna continue down the road toward a better, more healthy, me.  that'll be a good day.  i'm looking forward to that one and i'm looking forward to my op in three weeks for that reason.  yes.  i said i'm looking forward to it.  i must be mad looking forward to an operation! lol  but it is the way forward and one step toward a better life in the future.  so, the sooner they get it done the better and the quicker i can move onto the next stage and so on.overall, i've had a good couple of days.  i managed to get through two whole days without having to sleep.  yeah, i wanted to, but couldnt cos i had too much on.  i was out and about at various appts, so i had no choice but to stay awake and i managed it without getting confused.  i do get confused when i'm tired, dont you?  then again, the lactulose and noracol help too i'm sure.    but when my head did hit the pillow, i went out like a light, 5 hours at a time and i did three of those with just a short interruption each time for bathroom duties and to 'wet the whistle'. i hate that feeling of having a dry sticky mouth and throat when i wake up, having to wrench the tongue away from the roof of the mouth and swallow and cough to clear the throat and open the larynx before a sound can be heard.  i guess thats partly to do with hepc and partly to do with the lumps in my thyroid.  hopefully it will get better after surgery.  hopefully too, the pins and needles that i get constantly throughout my body will improve too after surgery.  my endoc said the other day that it is something to do with calcium deficiency and poor circulation, i.e., furry arteries.  i havent read anywhere that pins and needles is a symptom of hepc, but does it cause calcium deficiency i wonder.  hmmmmmm!  i guess i'll research that one.well, the kids have gone to school and i'm gonna have a lazy day.  i think i deserve it after the last few days.  i think i'll have a pamper day. i treated myself to some henna about 4 weeks ago and to date, i havent had the energy to get round to using it.  but, today's the day.  i might even get some cleaning done too.  something unheard of lately! lol no, its not funny really.  there are six of us living here, but no one else apart from hubby does anything.  my kids arent small.  the oldest is 31 and the youngest is 11, but they dont think and i dont like to keep asking them.  i've always made it my job, but since i havent been able to keep on top of it, the place has gone to wrack and ruin.  i hate a dirty place and this place needs a major makeover right now.  i wish i had more energy and less abdo pain.  but who am i to complain?  there are ppl a lot worse off than me out there, even on here and they manage, so why cant i???  i gotta get my 'finger out' and do something about it.  i will make a start today.  why not?  i have all day! i can take my time. bit by bit is fine.  its a must though.  besides, having the place sorted always makes you feel better.   on the assumption that 'a tidy desk is a tidy mind' and 'a healthy mind is a healthy body', i think its good therapy.  so i will sort my house out today.  it will help me manage my illness.  that was a pretty long winded way to convince myself that i should do some cleaning. lol i had to blackmail myself into doing it.  its gonna help my illness! lol  i used to love cleaning, but i tend not to do it so much now cos i utilise my energy elsewhere.  i cant do both.  there always seems to be some more important things to get on with.  besides, the cleaning will still be there tomorrow, but its got to the stage where i have to do something about it.  i cant stand looking at it any more and i aint gonna hold my breath waiting for the kids to do something cos that aint gonna happen. lol..... no... its my job.  so i guess i better get on with it.  catch you all later.  in case you're wondering if i have a screw loose??  i guess i must have!  i'm sitting here writing this to myself.  when i write in my journal, it is primarily to myself.  i do it to express and understand my feelings, to get them out in the open and to dump them.  i dont mean to dump them on anyone else.  i just dump them.  once dumped, they are then gone and i can get on with other things.  its just a way of me getting stuff off my chest, trivial or not, i needed that.  if you're reading this god-forsaken load of jibberish, thanks for your patience:)take care all and i hope you have a wonderful day and an even more wonderful weekend:)
