Hello!!

Hello everyone!  It's been a long day and finally get to post my first journal!  I have returned to this site hoping to help others and also get some extra help myself.  When I was 13 I was sexually assaulted and raped and a week after I turned 16 I was raped by what is now my ex-boyfriend.  I have over come so much of it but I am still struggling with some issues that it has caused, mainly panic attacks and flash backs.  After the attack happened to me I remember turning so numb...something I don't even like to think about.  I came to this very site for help and the people here got me through SOO much and helped me understand what I was going through and why.  It seemed like anyone I talked to didn't want to hear what I wanted to say or wanted to believe it wasn't true.  I felt so alone but this site did so much for me.  5 years later I'm going strong and more independent than ever.  A lot has happened since then and I have decided to create a new page for myself in hope of 'starting over' and taking on a new look at to what happened at to try and help others that this horrible break of trust has claimed.  I am currently in a Criminal Justice degree and am pursuing Forensic Nursing and hope to one day be working with the S.A.N.E. Orginization.  The reason why I have chosen this is actually due to this site.  When I was on here years ago I came across a young girl who was attacked also and she was one of the very few who spoke up and went to the ER.  She said she regreted it so much because none of the doctors or nurses seemed to care about what she had just been through.  I cannot remember her exact story, but this was heartbraking to me because I know exactly how she felt.  I believe NO ONE that is a victam of rape should feel like this, I know very well we already feel humiliated enough.  I want to be just one more step in makeing sure young girls, boys, woman, men, anyone that may be a victam, gets help they deserve.
