Saw the Nerusurgian again. He said the fracture has healed, but there is still permanant damage to the brain. Luckily, all this affects is smell and taste. I have lost both of those sences, and he said from the ct, they will not be comming back. But, hell, if thats the worst, I can handle it. He said my short term memory may never be the same. time will tell, he said.

sounds like you got a fairly decent report from the Neuro. I know you wish your memory and taste and smell would return but just remember it could be ALOT worse!
you\'re alive and that\'s the best prognosis one could get!! you still have your hearing, sight, and touch and the ability to love and feel!! those are things no one can take from you!!
I do still have an awful ringing in my ears, but mainly at night when it is quiet.
