why?
I met with my parish priest today to discuss and see how we can bring the community together regarding the teen drug issue. Since he's the one who called the meeting I didn't have a lot to offer for a change. I think he expected more but we have, at least, started the discussion. I am energized because I actually have someone who is open to anything I suggest. Now I have to be careful as to what it is I have to offer. So it's all good. :-) I was on the phone with T's very talkative casework when my phone kept getting calls and voice mails. It certainly seemed like an emergency. Before I could check my voice mails my cell rings. It was T. He was sick and wanted to go home. I didn't fight it - I got him. He came home and went outside - saying he didn't feel well and needed the fresh air to help his headache. He said he was going for a walk. I told him no that he was to stay on our property. Well....it was a matter of time before he took off. Before he left home his friend called but when I answered the boy on the other line said he had the wrong # and hung up. I knew whose # that was so I called his friend's mom who was at work. She told me that her son went home "sick", too. Well - they were found out and T ended up coming back home. T appeared to be very sober. I think, because he hates being in school, he tries to find every possible way to get out of it. He's shut down in school, saying because he's not graduating on time, why bother? Husband was supposed to meet with T and his teachers today after school. That's not going to happen because T said no. Oh well.....can't do a thing about that one. Tonight my husband will tell him about the upcoming court date.....
