so far so good

It's Monday morning and T got up very easily!  That was the first Monday morning in a very long time.  He actually was talkative!  He did remind me, however, that he forgot his Nicorette gum, which means I have to go up to the school.  I hate going up there.  I feel like a kindergarten room mom - always up there.  I have a feeling I will be having to talk to the asst. principal today because of the stunt T pulled on Friday -leaving home while I was gone and never making it to school.  He thought it made perfect sense to be sick - together at his friend's - who was sick, too.  I really believe nothing "shady" was going on because he really didn't feel well this weekend.  Never went out Friday night, was home an hour before curfew Saturday night, and had played football Sunday evening, coming home early.  I told the asst. principal that T's behavior does not indicate drug usage.  Even though T isn't using, doesn't - of course - doesn't excuse his skipping school.  Understandably, I'm sure the AP suspects that T may be back to his using days and that I'm in denial?  Who knows.  I could be off about that one because the AP called it last time when T slipped.  So I'm sure he sees an improvement.  Well - today is the day we drive over an hour and a half to the 90 day drug treatment center for T's assessment.  I'm not nervous, at all.  I can tell that T isn't either, since he isn't using he knows he won't be accepted.  ** Actually, I found out later that he was, indeed, nervous about the assessment.
