so....
Well -- T did pull a fast one, that is for sure. Funny how he doesn't seem to understand that going to his friend's house instead of going to school is wrong. He said he wasn't feeling well and neither did his friend - so they were going to be sick together. And since his ride fell through to go to school for the last part of the day - he blows it off. And guess what? After I told him that he could be headed on the path to getting kicked out of school - he blames me for calling the school. It's all my fault. I wonder if he really believes that. If he does, obviously, he is still acting like a dry drunk. I honestly don't think he is using. What concerns me, however, these are behaviors and beliefs that could easily lead him back. I wish, in many ways, that his assessment would show that he needs treatment - even as anxious I am about him having to go to such a place. He needs some help even though I know he has come a very long way and isn't using right now. If we are told he needs help, my thought is to give him an option - either go there (it's a hell hole as far as I'm concerned) or to the facility my husband and I looked at in another state, which I really, really like. Chances are, however, that most likely will not be accepted. If that is the case - I still wish we could send him somewhere for help. It's difficult watching him struggle..... BTW - I know he really was sick. He stayed home on a FRIDAY night and went to bed early. Sick too much and I know it isn't due to using. He just doesn't take care of himself and smoking doesn't help.
