It certainly is One Day At a Time.......  As strange as this sounds I really do not think T is using.  He went to his first class and on time.  When I dropped him off at school he was jovial.  In the past the car rides to school were less than pleasant.  He said he got a lot of work done in the in-school suspension room today.  He came home after school and said he'd be home for dinner.  His counselor came to the house today and he said that T said he can't explain the turn-a-round.  He said he doesn't think it was the threat of having to go to the 90 day treatment center.  It sure seems like it.  Whatever.  Counselor said that this could be the honeymoon part....knowing he might have to leave ...might make him improve.  Truthfully,  just before he was told that this could happen--- I think he had already stopped using but his behaviors hadn't caught up, yet. Tomorrow we (hubby and I) drive and take a tour of this treatment place.  Strangely enough, I think we're going to be on the same page this time -- both thinking he doesn't need treatment.  I understand we do have influence on the decision so we will see how things play out over the next week or so.  I wrote out all of the paperwork a week or so ago from the treatment center and now, reading it over, I had to make some changes - which is a good thing.   Oh - the drug/alcohol packet I am putting together......is nearly finished.  Decided not to wait any longer for the assistant principal to add his stuff or for the detective to make an additional contribution.... Can always add it later.  I need to finish it because I received a frantic call from a desperate mom asking for some help.  Her son used to hang around with my son, we thought, before they were using.  I need to get this packet to her!
