One Day At A Time

I know I have a lot of "Frustrating" journal entries - but that's just the way I've been feeling, lately.   I am just so tired of my husband overriding me on a regular basis.  It doesn't matter what I say,  how I say it, what I do!  Every time he apologizes!  Doesn't he see that he's hurting our son in the long run?  Why doesn't he see that my son is taking full advantage of the situation and calls on him when I say no?  I told my husband yesterday that I am sick and tired of being the heavy.    And then there was this morning.  Typical Monday - T doesn't want to get up.  I told him that I refuse to call in an excuse for him and so what does he do?  He calls my husband at work.  Husband calls in for him.  Wonderful.  Thank you so much dear!  That's what I call a true partnership.  He might as well spit on me.   We had a little bit of this with our second born.  We weren't quite sure how to handle him - almost afraid because of his depression.  Husband was always overriding me but second born son, J, listened to me, anyway - at least when hubby wasn't available.   Had a conversation with J yesterday about his brother.  He told me that T was smoking pot a few weeks ago - which explains the huge water intake.  He said that T was working out a lot to help mess up the drug testing.  Apparently there is some merit to it if you have no body fat.  I don't know if I buy it.  Whatever the case, that was a few weeks ago.  I asked him how he knew.....did he hear it from someone else?  J told me that T told him.  Thanks J for telling me.  He said he doesn't want T to know he told me.  That's fine.  I don't either.  I am going to tell him if he confides in him again, to let me know and I will figure out a way not to involve J. Today I have to call the drug treatment center and his probation officer about Friday.  I know my husband certainly wouldn't do that job.  Can you tell I'm a bit peeved?  Fortunately, this is the only issue my husband and I have.  Everything else in our marriage is wonderful - right now  - however- it is a big issue for me.  I'm disappointed and hurt that he has no respect for me in this department.
