T is still mad at me for calling the school and reporting to them what I saw on-line. He was trying to get a friend to bring him either acid or X. She was supposed to give it to him in study hall. When I called, I assumed the assistant principal was going to keep it confidential as to where he got the information. It didn't happen. I was upset (the assistant principal wasn't aware I was upset) but thought......no ........T has to know that I am on top of things and when I find something out, I am going to report it. Most of his offenses, back then, weren't always dealt with right away - because of where he was at - but now that we have power and are capable of addressing it right away........"we" are going to do it. I say "we" because I'm on the front line. My husband isn't nearly as involved but, AT LEAST, he supports me now. He used to get angry - thinking I was stirring up trouble. He is a peacemaker and I know it stems from his childhood. My mother-in-law drank and his role was to keep peace and to avoid confrontation as much as possible. So right now I am very grateful that he is seeing the light. It certainly helps. My sister, however, she is going through an extremely stressful time and, lately, I've been her lone therapist. I'm glad to support and encourage her but it really is emotionally draining on me. Although I tell her to call me anytime, I suggested she make an emergency therapy appointment. Her son is almost finished with rehab (he's 22) but he really now needs the extra level of care. He was diagnosed with PTSD and is now getting major flashbacks. And on top of that, my sister's husband, who has been verbally abusive to my sister for years, is having his own kind of breakdown. His mom was a severe alcoholic and abused him so much to the point he had to move out at 15. His older siblings didn't realize the extent of his problem and blamed him for being difficult. My sister has enabled her husband for years -- always making excuses to her kids for his horrible behavior. And now her teen girls are telling my sister....no more excuses! I just got off of the phone with my sister and she told me that her husband was taken off without telling anybody where he went. She is worried because he hasn't made any cash withdrawals and won't even answer the phone calls from his children. She also thinks it is part of his manipulation. Whatever it is........ man..... I just hope she gets in touch with her therapist.....it is so messy. Funny, on the outside, they seemed to have the perfect life....beautiful children......gorgeous home......friends.......money.......awesome community....... I just am hurting inside and praying for her. All I can say is I'm glad I'm at a better place to be there for her. And although it's eating me up inside, feeling helpless, I know I come across to her like I am strong. She needs that.......

I\'m sure T will forgive you at some point. I know I was doing the same type of \"investigating\" when I started to find out about the drugs with my son. He has forgiven his father and myself. Don\'t be so hard on yourself. You are doing the right thing as a mom. Working in the schools I see so many times when parents aren\'t concerned. That\'s a whole different ballgame! As far as the situation with your sister. I can relate to that too. I have three sisters and at one time or another each of them is having some kind of major issue. It\'s great to have sisters though. They have been a great support to me. sounds like you are a great sister too. Be good to yourself and take care.
P.S. My son is doing so much better. He has been going to church every Sunday, he\'s running the sound for the church, going to meetings, went to a Christian seminar last weekend and best of all HE\'S CLEAN!!!
Good for you, he will get over it!!!!! Thinking of you - Take Care!
