Here we go again.  T is missing school.  Said he woke up at 3 with a sore throat and feels awful.  He's missed about 10 out of 14 days.  This the beginning of the new semester.  Since the school is on block scheduling, his classes are 90 minutes long instead of 45.  So for every day he misses it's like missing two.  What a way to start out.  Can't get him to get up and fight it.  Dam. Remember the girl who I was directly responsible for gettng arrested?  She was at the top of her school, headed for an Ivy League school, was taking 4 AP classes, but now is expelled and will have a record.  Anyway, she "talked" to my son on-line and told him that the police told her that I called about her trying to sell my son drugs.  First of all, I didn't call and secondly - where the info. came from was supposed to be anonymous.  That explains why all of my son's friends dropped off completely.  No more phone calls, instant messages, or visits - all a good thing.  Perhaps the police had to tell her why they were going to search her car at school ....but they promised my friend, who actually called, that my name was going to be left out of it........  Guess they couldn't.  What is awesome, however, is this girl told my son that it had to be done because she needed help!  She was defending me.  That surprised me, in a way, because drug addicts usually blame everybody else for whatever goes bad in their lives.  My son does that all the time. A bummer.  He refused to sign the release form for me from the rehab he spent at for 4 days.  Drug court needs the assessment in order for him to go.  He feels if he signs it, they will send him straight to inpatient.  I keep tellng him that is not how it works...... He needs to sign it because if he refuses, he can't do drug court, his long record won't be expunged, and, I believe, the alternative is jail.  Bothered me at first, but it's his decision.  I told him to check with his new probation officer today, if he doesn't believe me.  That's if the guy is going to make it today.  A snow storm is heading this way!
