A casual friend of ours took it upon himself to come and talk to T. He's been here, so far, for about 45 minutes. Since this whole thing started, this is the LONGEST time anyone has spent any time with him. T didn't want him to come over, made some comment about it but I noticed he put on his nice sweater! This is so awesome of this guy to do this. Finally T is at a place where someone could actually talk to him! Since we had that episode last week and he ended up spending the night at the detention center, and since we had court, he's been clean. He also doesn't have any of his "friends" call or come by, except for his girlfriend. His so called "best" friend only came once. Mind you, he uses but you would think he'd come to support him. His "friend" has really never been our favorite ....so it's no surprise. It's for the better, I guess, that he doesn't.

When my son started going thru counseling and then rehab, his \"friends\" called asking about him for about the first month, then after that...nothing. Which I was thankful for, my son would always ask if anyone of them called, when I told him they didn\'t, he realized(after awhile) that they weren\'t as good of friends as he thought. There was only one friend, who never used with him, who called to ask about him every month. As soon as he came home, this friend came over the first day, it was nice. It\'s just too bad that he lives about 40 miles away. Since coming home, he hasn\'t even wanted to hang around any of those people, which is another thing I\'m thankful for. I so need to find him a job though, he\'s getting bored sitting here all day. If the weather would be halfway decent we could go pick up some applications. The past 2 weeks we\'ve had snow, ice, sleet, and today the \"high\" is supposed to be 4. BRRRRRR! I\'m gonna talk to a few people though and see what I can find for him. Talk to you later.
