What a difference when they don't use. It's been such a long time that I forgot what it's like to be "normal". Since spending a night in detention, last Thursday, he's been staying clear of his buddies, at least around here. I understand, from what the assistant principal says, that T also sits with only his girlfriend at lunch. Spending every moment he can with his sweet girlfriend. My husband told my son that, to him, she's an angel. I don't know if she's an angel or not, but she certainly is making my son happier. It feels like she's protecting him. When friends call he makes an excuse saying he doesn't think he's allowed to have any friends here. We never said that nor has he even asked us if he could. I'm so glad he's making excuses. I am going to cherish this time and enjoy it. My poor husband is starting to show physical signs of stress. He's hasn't had this in long time, but when he's stressed, he starts feeling numbness in his face, arms, and legs. He's had his heart checked out numerous times and it's checked out fine. I am now worried about him. He just called me and realized he messed up on picking a date for a business trip. He arranged it and five people are supposed to go, too. All along he's been thiinking the trip was on a Thursday, which it was originally, but switched it to Wednesday. Not good because that's our court date with T. All I can say, is I'm glad, at least, T is in a good place right now. My husband doesn't need the extra worry at this time. I picked up another AL ANON night. A friend, who is also a drug counselor at the school I indirectly got a girl arrested where she works, called me. My husband's and my name came up in her circle and she thought she would ask me to join her. Her oldest son played soccer with my middle guy. I've known her for years but not very well. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. I keep praying to God to help me and he is. He's working through her and others....like you.

oh, I am so glad to hear all this - not your husband being stressed, obviously, but your son. Thank goodness for his sweet little girlfriend, she is an absolute godsend isnt she. God certainly is helping you. I am sorry your husband is stressed - hopefully that stress will start to ease once he knows things are really sorted & things are still going ok. Take care....love to you...Cathrynn X
I\'m glad things are going well for you, you need the break! My son\'s ex-girlfriend was a help like that, until she got tired of all the stress and craziness. When she broke up with him he was in rehab and he ended up running from there that night. I could see her point, she wanted to be a \"normal\" teenager and deal with things like homework, dances, friends..the stress was just too overwhelming. Talk to you soon.....=)
HOORAY, a break for everyone! I have a friend that had the same physical reaction to stress; it was a form of a panic attack. Medication relieved the symptoms. Good Luck on Wednesday!!!!!
I\'m happy that you are getting a little break. Keep an eye on your husband. Remember, stress will kill a person faster than anything else. I know we love our teens, but trust me, their problems will pass & then we are left with the fall-out like depression & poor physical health as they go out into the world on their merry way. You and your husband are wonderful parents.
This \"too\" shall pass. Please, please take of yourselves during this stressful time. Thank you for all of your support. Peace, Jazzie
