It's half-time.  T and his girlfriend are watching the Superbowl together.  I don't think he's been using anything, lately.  Just glad that Peggy girl is out of the picture.  Guess she's singing like a bird.  My husband told me that we should tell my son so he can prepare himself.  For what?  My husband doesn't want my son to have any more charges.  I told him I don't care about the stupid charges, I just want to focus on getting him help.  The charges is what's helping us get help for him, anyway.  If he didn't get into trouble, he wouldn't be on house arrest right now.  The court date is Wednesday and I am hoping that T will remain on house arrest.  He just may because of his arrest the other day (even though charges were dropped) they are now aware that he used while on house arrest.  I am hoping for drug court, too.

I think you\'re right. No one likes the idea of their kid having charges, but it\'s all a necessary part of the solution. There are times when I PRAY that my son WILL get arrested while he\'s out scoring heroin, but then I try to remember to pray for God\'s will because He sees the whole picture & I don\'t. Has your son\'s g.f. given you any indication that she supports YOU in helping your son? My son\'s g.f. is also a heroin addict, but she doesn\'t use as MUCH or as OFTEN as he does. She goes through phases where she\'s pushing him to get clean, but then I\'ve seen her, not 2 days later, high with him, so it can be a very viscious cycle. It\'s just very unlikely that your son\'s g.f. doesn\'t use anything. I\'ve watched my kids and their circle of friends for years & they all do something - drink, smoke pot, or harder stuff. ALL of them.
