Well .....the "dealer" was caught. The "dealer", I learned was 3rd in her class. I don't know how she managed. Maybe she sold a lot more than she used, even though she claimed to my son that she goes to school stoned everyday. She won't be doing that anytime soon! Strangely enough, I had only met her a few times and I liked her. I feel for her, but I'm glad she was nabbed because she had some powerful stuff. It was the phone call to my friend that did it. She, in turn, called the school where she goes to (not the same one as my son) and they checked out her van and found heroin and all kinds of stuff. I didn't have to print out the conversation between her and my son, after all..... BUT I just read his instant message and her friend told my son that the police took her cell. And guess who called her "25" times? My son. So.....looks like we could be getting a call of some kind....I think. Funny.....I am the one that started this and what goes around ....comes around. I am not complaining.....just wonder if anything else is going to happen about this issue. Time will tell. I had a pretty crappy day.....starting with getting up late due to the power outage, moving onto the "almost" drug deal at our home, to the school calling me my son's sick. To top things off I received a few e-mails from teachers....not doing homework, or finishing quiz, etc.... no surprise there. Then the mail came.........my son has another after school detention for pulling a kid's pants down. chuckle chuckle.... He thought it was funny. A "friend' told him to do it and he did. The day ended on a better note. My husband and I were able to go to the parent support group after all! Our middle guy's work called and said they didn't need him! That NEVER happens on a Wednesday! I think it wasn't a coincidence. I really, really wanted to go but knew we couldn't because of our son's home arrest. We didn't want any friends or his gf here....so our middle guy was able to hold the fort. I thank God for having my middle guy called off from work. Sorry.........but I can not believe I am writing this about my son. He NEVER got into trouble before. Now it's one thing after another. Okay.....I know.....it's the drugs ....but still.......it still is so surreal to me. I thought I was handling this pretty well until now.......I am not doing a good job. So......I had a pity party today and tomorrow I am going to make sure things will be better.

its not a pity party - goodness me - you have had such a LOT to deal with. WELL DONE - you have done an amazing thing here - and helped that girl as well - and others you dont know about. I mean - she was a drug dealer! I cant remember whether or not I told you - but years ago my son used to meet friends every week. One of them was expelled - for drug dealing...OH! So my son was involved for a bit but luckily this didnt go far ... take care, try to get some rests....love Cathrynn X

You better make sure he\'s not hooked on opiates, etc... You\'ll find out very shortly.
Wow, serious dealing on campus. My guess is that as a buyer who is already in trouble T\'s # on the cell is a non issue -- Joemm makes a good point from both a health and safety point of view; is there a chance he will level with you in case he needs detox? If he\'s still using, not surprising that school work has fallen aside. I hope that tomorrow is a better day for YOU! I am thinking of you and your family. Take Care!!!!!
You can order home drug test kits over the internet that are much cheaper than the ones they have at Walgreen\'s. Most likely he has a big circle of \"friends\" who can get him stuff and sneak it in to him, or he will sneak out at night.........he will find a way if he\'s a heroin addict. I saw some drug tests online that are a sponge on the end of some kind of stick they have to let it soak in their mouths for like 10 minutes & then you get an almost instant reading. Eliminates the whole issue of urine testing (having to watch them pee & then also if you don\'t, worrying about them altering it somehow). If he\'s a heroin addict & you do somehow keep him from getting stuff, he will start having some very serious withdrawals (nausea, vomiting, sweating, headaches; kind of like a really HORRIBLE case of the flu). I\'m glad you were able to intervene for that girl. Hopefully she will straighten out her life now. This is a very scary world. My son is an addict and now he has his own baby & that makes it all a million times worse. I hope you can get it all resolved NOW - before it gets worse - before it\'s too late. Warmest regards,
