Today is Thursday night....or actually Friday morning since it's after midnight. And guess who isn't home? I know I shouldn't have lost my temper (no I didn't go off the deep end) but he knew I was angry. Yes....I said a stupid thing telling him that I would call the police if he left and would file an unruly. I haven't said anything stupid like that in a long time. I was just frustrated because he was so sick (coughing like crazy) and stayed home from school because of it. He coughed well into the night, got up at noon, took a shower and put his jacket on. I asked him where he was going and told him that he was forbidden to go anywhere because he stayed home sick from school. He told me that he was just going out to get cigarettes and that he was coming right back. I knew that was a lie because I saw from the recorded instant message that he planning on partying with friends. I didn't tell him I knew he wasn't telling the truth. So.....does that even matter? It's been a long time since we had an incident that I just .....got lazy. I do know that no matter.....it isn't my fault. He would have gone out anyway. I know I did give him the excuse to probably stay out longer. Tomorrow will be a better day. It didn't start out right but tomorrow has to, right? :-) I did go to Al-NON tonight, which helped. A fellow reached out to me and encouraged me to continue coming. The last time I went (before Christmas) another member reached out to me. I had been attending on and off since September but because these people made an effort to reach out ........I need to do the same and continue to go.

My son would cough like crazy also. I now know why, It was the meth he was smoking.
Your feelings are valid -- anger, frustration, sadness. Use the support group to vent - they do understand you. Have you tested for meth given Joemm comments? It is scary!!!!
