It's 3 AM and T isn't home yet. I'm exhausted. I guess I'll go to bed. Now I feel REALLY foolish. I called the juvenile detective and left a voice mail (Friday morning) telling him how well my son was doing even though his rehab was cut very short. Dumb and embarrassing that I made that call hours before my son started in again. Even after all we've been through.....you'd think I would have known better. Silly me. Hopeful me. I guess because he never expressed his strong desire to stay away.....I guess I had to see it for myself instead of a professional counselor tell me what help he needs.

We always want the best for our kids and hold tightly onto a glimpse of it.. Gives you glimpse of your husband\'s perspective.. :o( Unfortunately, I do not know how to be logical, reasonable, etc, especually unhopeful when it comes to kids...
A day clean is reason to celebrate; it is wonderful to share the news that our kid is clean and \"bright\". I think it was kind of them to let you have your moment. The reality is that addicts have a long row to hoe before they can be sober. I\'m sorry, I wish it was different for T! At least you have given him an option to try it on his own; it hasn\'t been working and inpatient treatment seems to be the better solution?! Take Care!!!!!!
