Well today is the day. Fortunately we don't have to be there until 2:30pm and it gives him some time to sleep in. I don't want him to sleep too long, however, because he may have a difficult time sleeping in his new environment. T came home at a reasonable time last night but was obviously stoned. I haven't seen his eyes that glassy in a long time. When I told him what I noticed .....he just smiled. Guess he wanted to do it up before rehab. Although he wasn't quite "with it" last night and really couldn't appreciate the calls he received to wish him the best, I appreciated it (maybe he did to some extent). His grandparents called, his brother, and his friend's mom. I thought that was exceptionally nice of her. She has a huge heart. I will have to call her today to thank her. That meant A LOT! When I dropped off our second born at his new job (yes this is day 3) I realized that we have a scheduling problem with rides. I don't know if we will be back in time to get him and take him to his second job. I asked him if he could arrange to get a ride and he didn't seem thrilled. He's not feeling well. Too bad he's working tonight. I know he's 18 but he's been through a lot over these past few years and when he gets run down he falls into a funk and has a difficult time recovering. He's already had two major bouts of depression (I know it's because of his illnesses) so we will just have to keep an eye on it. The poor guy gets canker sores and headaches and has allergies. He's been taking medicine for all of it and I may suggest again that he try taking some of it because it did seem to work. We will see. He did ask me to call his psychiatrist to see if I can get his Concerta meds renewed. He's currently working at a brokerage firm (filing, envelope stuffing - and talks stocks and bonds with the owner) and feels that the ADD will help him focus better. He feels himself wandering in his thoughts. So I will see what the doctor says. It's so strange that I can't discuss anything with his doctor now that J is 18. I think it's stupid for a number of reasons. Well...........I now must finish the finishing touches on the packing. I would have had it all done but I bought some more clothes for T and he's been refusing to try them on. Maybe today he will........

Good Luck to T. You\'ll be getting a break and hopefully he will stick to the program. Remember that there will be up\'s and downs during the first couple of weeks. Just love him and be there for him. Thats all you can do. It\'s up to him.
