T went to school - I guess to say good-bye to his friends for awhile. I know it's hard for him - yet he has no idea how hard it is for us. On the surface he seems better than he's been in a long, long time but underneath I know it's killing him to leave. In a way, I'm glad the rehab center didn't have a bed ready a few weeks ago. It has taken our son more time to digest what he needs to do. What's strange is I don't have the desperation to get him in a rehab like I did before. He really has calmed down and seems as if he's cut down on his usage.

It\'s good that he has had a chance to go voluntarily! Perhaps his friends are giving him some encouragement - you need it and it will be a \"decent\" experience...?! I know 2 teens who have gone to in patient rehab and it was good; one is still sober...:-) I am hoping that the break from his environment will give him a chance to look at his life and he develops a new POV!!!! I think everyone will breathe a sigh of relief once he has gone through intake (including T). Take Care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
