How does the saying go?  You're as happy as your saddest child?  T came home and got on the computer.  I allowed him to write away because I know I would be collecting information.  Well, his best friend who lives down the street, and has been friends with him for a long time, wrote in the IM message that there is a strong chance he (his friend) could be expeled from school.  This long time friend has never been my favorite, a real Eddie Hasscle, yet not as talkative.   Unlike my son, this kid can be disrespectful to the teachers and staff at school and has been getting in trouble since as long as I can remember.  This kid is a year older than my son and is supposed to be graduating this year.  Not a chance if that happens.  I understand there was in incident between the attendance lady and him regarding his cell phone.  I don't know the details but since he isn't going to school tomorrow my son said he wasn't going to go.  My son is in the dumps because his girlfriend broke up with him, too, I learned tonight.  He's really down and apparently under the influence of something.  It doesn't seem like it but that is what he said on-line.  Best friend not in school, girlfriend broke up with him and is dating a new boyfriend, failing grades,  and what is the incentive for going to school?  Great.....and we were counting on him going to school so that we could check out a treatment center that is 2/12 hours away.  DARN

That is a really bad triad of events... for both of you! Hope you get to visit the treatment center - take T-Man or does one adult have to stay home? Have a safe trip!
