Five days in a row T came home early in the evening. He came home last night not feeling well again. His throat is really hurting. I wish I could get him to go to the doctor's because at that time the doctor could do an evaluation on his mental health, too. I doubt he will go. Last night we (hubby and I) went to the Families Anonymous group. After introductions (which takes forever because they do more than introduce themselves) the group ended up focusing on our situation. It was good to hear that the magistrate we will have at the first hearing is a great guy. Our good friend, who is a lawyer, told us the same thing when we met with him for advice after our group meeting. So that was reassuring. T is starting to feel anxious about the court date. Reality is starting to set in. He already decided that he is going to be on house arrest because of his friends and what they had to do. I wish we could skip that part and have the judge order inpatient rehab immediately. According to one of the participants at the FA meeting, it doesn't work that way. She said her son didn't get the order (after many court dates) until April. The proceedings for him started in early October. Is that crazy or what? Maybe we can get the ball rolling sooner. The detective says that our son should be in inpatient rehab, too.

Can you work while he is under house arrest? I can\'t imagine having to spend that much face time with a teen...especially one who is bored or angry. What happens with school, or is going to school a condition of the courts? FA sound like a real ally for you and your husband....at least you know that it is not just you, your kid .....Hope your day goes well!
The house arrest is only temporary until the next hearing which is a few weeks away, I believe. Even then, I don\'t know if he will be assigned house arrest or not. And just because he\'s under guard, it doesn\'t mean that his friends can\'t show up at the house when I\'m not around. As much as I would like to get out and work, I would not feel comfortable enough doing so at this time. I can leave the house, however. And I will do that but not for very long blocks of time. And he\'s been better around here and I\'m hoping that continues. I am also hoping he will be feeling better. I think his illness (especially the lack of sleep and numbness in his arms) is because he\'s starting to feel nervous. I am actually surprised, to some extent, that he is seeing the bigger picture.
