I hope I didn't make the mistake by asking the lawyer about having a court appointed attorney.  I just inquired and next thing I know he's our son's.  Although lawyers' fees are expensive -- piece of mind is hard to put a price on.  Since the lawyer took it upon himself to be our son's lawyer -- he is.  We have no say or can't talk to him and ask questions ahead of time.  It's an uneasy feeling.  Not sure about this one.  My husband is starting to flip out about it.  I'm sure it will be fine - apparently we have the best lawyer-- and he knows our goal is to get our son help...so ....I shouldn't worry.  I think the toughest part will be to convince my husband....after I convince myself...that is.  The big plus is we have the best and we don't have to pay for him!  With two in college and me without a job now....it would be a struggle to pay for it all anyway.  Well........ T came home at 9 PM last night and went right to bed saying he needed his rest for school in the morning.  Well, he got up in the middle of the night and when I heard him up he said he was going to sleep on the couch because he wasn't feeling well.  This morning....not well enough to go to school.  He said he had a bad sore throat and bad headache.  T also said that he his arms at different times felt like they were going to sleep and that his heart raced at the same time.  I told him it must have been from the drugs he's taking and he said it was impossible because he hasn't had any in a long time.  ???  What to make of that?  Whatever.  All I know is that he didn't go to school and when he left late this morning he didn't have anything to eat and I haven't seen him since.  It's almost 4:30 in the afternoon.  Sigh.
