Well......T didn't go to school this morning like he said he would. He watched TV but did go in the early afternoon. Unfortunately, it was just for lunch. Came home soon after. Although I can imagine how difficult it would be to just show up again after being absent for so long, I am hoping he can do it. When I asked him why he isn't going he said it's because he will have no idea what is being taught. I think I will remind him that he can go and talk to the assistant principal. He said that T is always welcome to come to his office if he's feeling bad or uncomfotable. Perhaps he can have T meet with his teachers just to break the ice. Maybe that would help. Next week is our court date (arraignment) and I am so overwhelmed with all the charges he has facing him. I can't imagine what he must feel like. I did tell him he needs to go to school so that he will be showing the courts that he is trying. It may be starting to sink in now. I feel for him. Well.......it looks like the lawyer I called asking how we could go about getting a court appointed....took it upon himself to become our court appointed! I didn't say that was what we were going to do for sure but I am so glad that we have him because we would have hired him. I thought I heard him say that he was assigned our case and now I think it is the case for sure because he hasn't returned my phone calls. I am a bit nervous having him as a court appointed as opposed to a hired because it would be much more comfortable knowing what to expect way before the date instead of minutes before it. I worry too much. Things will work out. This guy is the best so I should trust the process.Oh.......4th night in a row that T came home early. Tonight it was 9 PM. He said he was tired and has to go to school tomorrow....... I must add.........he brought home a job application! So he's trying........
