Great - I wonder how much I can take. That little piss pot is making me crazy. I've been more than patient with him and now I just can't take it.Like I predicted -- he didn't come directly home from school. He finally showed up at 10:30 PM. I am so angry with him. He walks in the door at 10:30 at night like it was right after school - without a care in the world. How arrogant can one be? My dear husband was sweet talking him like T walked in right after school, too. I finally asked T where his backpack was and why he didn't bring home any work. He calmly looked at me and said " I'm not going to do any school work until you turn my cell phone on!" What a spoiled, snotty, clueless, misguided boy. I just want to scream! Well -- that was when I said that he is not getting away with any more of this crap and that I am taking other privileges away. He can't keep doing what he is doing. My dear husband then asked me to get off the computer for our son! I told him no. We didn't raise our voices, but my son then disappeared. Called a friend and left. And we have a meeting with the lawyer tomorrow. I am so worn out. I am mad at myself for making a stand right then because now I know he won't go see the lawyer. My husband was trying to not cause any waves so that that wouldn't happen. I am angry with my son and my husband. My son for obvious reasons and my husband because he isn't helping. All he talks about is my son's self-esteem. Funny - when I talked to my in-laws, my father in-law said the same thing.....he was concerned about my son's self-esteem!! Who isn't but that is not what we need to address right now. Crazy. Oh......T never left. He went outside in his fort. Whew..... he's home. After this meeting with the lawyer.......I am going to sit down with my husband and try and talk some sense into him. We need to be on the same page and we need to be harder on T. This has always been a battle with us but now it's really a major problem. I don't know how much T is using because he isn't being tested or assessed and he doesn't talk drugs on the instant messaging very much anymore, but whatever it is things have changed for the worse. He's lost some of his partners in crime form the summer because many of them got back into life. His best friend is now working and in some kind of program, so he's not using and he has a girlfriend. And his friend is trying to get his grades up so that he can graduate this year. His buddy is one year older than T. T doesn't seem to care. Too much work to try and catch up what he missed. Sigh...... Gotta get up early tomorrow......

Good luck on all this.. I hope yo can get your husband on the same page...
It\'s stressful to have to sell the \"program\" to both your son AND your husband. If you have to, go to therapy on your own. It is completely understandable that you have had it and stood your ground!! However, in hindsight, would the path of least resistance (your husband\'s choice) have been a better choice in terms of dealing with the attorney today? I don\'t know but it is worth considering how you want to deal with your anger/frustration going forward. Personally, I give myself a time out for 20 minutes....a walk around the block alone to work off some of the \"negative\" energy. Good luck today!!!
