T-Man was truant --- again. I went down to juvenile court to find out if anything is happeinging. Nothing yet. It's in the process. The woman down there at the intake is just so nice. Although she couldn't offer much of anything -- she was just kind and compassionate. They were all very nice down there.....it's refreshing to know that public servants can be that way. I am so glad that I am keeping this journal. The first time T got into trouble was June 28th. That was when things were in its infancy and he was coming home at curfew.....etc. And that first entry of mine I didn't share who it was that knocked on the door after midnight. I was even embarassed to share it on here. Things sure have changed. The reason I am glad I've been recording what has been going on because I've been advised to keep a running home record of what has been going on at home. Did I mention that my laid back husband and T got into a physcial fight? Outside on the deck. It was more of a wrestling type of match. I didn't see what happened in the beginning. We could press charges.... I think - it depends on who started it? My son is the one who egged him on...but not sure of the particulars. This was their second incident. My husband didn't press anything on him then either. That occurred a few Mondays ago after the detective searched our son's room. As of now...we learned so far.....that there is nothing we can do if our son doesn't want to receive medical help. His nose is still broken and infected. Hope to find out something from someone........

I did not know it was this bad with government agencies... I wondr if you can print your journal entries...
Man, this is killing me! I can\'t imagine what it\'s doing to you!
Try to appeal to his vanity with regard to the nose....also, it is a terrible place to have a serious infection...close to the brain and all; would that sway his decision to have surgery or treatment? Would failure to seek treatment be another benchmark for \"putting himself in harms way\"? It would be an important mental health evaluation issue.
The physical fighting -- can you call the cops? Could he be detained at juvenile? What does the attorney think about this as a way to get him in the system? If your husband did swing first, he must be really hurting too....is he going to need help to walk away from these incidents....? In court, this could be an issue -- again, I would talk with the attorney about this; to protect yourselves!
As I am writing, I am wondering if you see any particular trigger for his behavior this summer? Has this been something that he kept under the radar and something like the surgery the straw that broke the camels back? Is it really just out of the blue --- more free time, chance meeting and drugs? It is just awful to see how quickly he has spiraled out of control!!!!!!!!!!!
Please be good to yourself - Take Care!
