My new sleeping spot for the first half of the night is on the couch, hoping to wake up when T-Man came home.  I did wake up at 2:30AM and he still wasn't home.  I had to call the police to report that he was past curfew again.  I then went up to bed and stayed awake until about 4 or so.  He still wasn't home.  I woke up at one point in the early morning and saw that his bedroom door was shut.  My husband is a very light sleeper (which doesn't make sense that I even sleep on the couch) but even he didn't hear him come in.  My husband was exhausted too.  He told me he was awake a good part of the night.  So now T is sleeping soundly and his parents are walking zombies.  Sounds about right, doesn't it? Tomorrow my husband and I are going down to the intake department - part of the juvenile court and file an unruly.  All along I thought that that was what we were doing here in town.  I spoke with someone there and she said to get this thing moving even faster we must do that.  Kev - the detective - keeps giving me the wrong information.  Either he is enjoying this ....watching us suffer OR he is an idiot.  I can't tell.  The lawyer I talked to told me that Kev is basically lazy.  All I know that I can't depend on him to really help us.  Since it isn't his job to direct us in the right direction......he won't do it.  Guess he is lazy.  He just seems so sincere and caring.  I just know now that he isn't.  A lesson learned.....and even though I already knew this....."You can't judge a book by its cover."Oh......found out that our second born was in our town this weekend and he didn't even call or let us know!  Someone saw him at the football game.  Nice.  I can't even think about worrying about him right now.  Is he remembering to take his medication?  Is he taking care of himself?  Hoping he's not smoking pot or drinking like many of the kids in his dorm.  How can I remind him to make an appointment with this psychiatrist when I can't get a hold of him?  We must tell him that we HAVE to hear from him once a week.  Considering the circumstances -- I don't think that that is unreasonable.Tonight is the Walk at the zoo.  Our school placed second.  We lost by $86.00.  And my friend gave me a $100.00 check right after the deadline which would have made us win by $14!   Go figure!  And the school ......raised $8.00 of it!  Well....at least we placed and "we" are the only ones who doubled their goal.  So that's good.  The director wanted us to win so badly that she called our high school to see if there was any more money collected.  She actually called the teacher/advisor of the NHS group who was behind this.  I didn't know the director was going to do that.  I found out through the teacher.  NOW she's excited about this venture!  NOW she's into it!  And asked me if I'd be willing to help next year.  Whatever........  **I am glad she is interested in doing it again (not like she did anything) but maybe she will do more now.  I hope because I might not even be a parent there next year....the way things are going with T.  He isn't even going to school anymore.  Sigh.....

Can you wire the house so that an alarm or light or bell or something goes off in the bedroom as he comes and goes. At least you might be more comfortable in your own room/bed.

I don\'t know about the detective.....genuinely concerned for the moment but maybe lazy or burnt out....I doubt it\'s personal and maybe that\'s the rub; if it were he would be doing more!!

OUCH, that would hurt if my child was in town and did not even call or drop by. Avoiding you because of the home situation or thoughtless or not taking meds and it will show? Can you ask someone how he seemed? I would let him know that you found out.....and tell him how you feel.

This has been another difficult weekend for you, I am hoping that some help is just around the corner (so to speak). Thinking of you and sending best wishes for a good nights sleep!
