I'm exhausted. Didn't go to sleep until past 4 PM and I was up at 7:30 AM. T-Man came home past our set curfew time....again. I couldn't sleep after that and then.......called our 18 year old wondering where he was. No answer. At 2:30 AM the phone rang. He was arrested! Yes..... I just found out last week he was engaging in pot. We had a very long talk. He promised he wouldn't do it anymore. His psychiatrist even talked to him about it. At least this one was devastated that he was arrested.... It was for possession of both pot and paraphernalia. Wonderful.....and Friday he's supposed to go off to college. What a great way to start things off! How can one be so smart...yet sooo dumb? His court date is set for Sept. 4th -- on a Tuesday --missing school already. Well......he made his bed...... A very hard lesson.
I am so angry with him. What the heck? He's been witnessing what has been going on with his brother!!! And now that he's 18...he will have a permanent record!!!!

When it rains, it pours :-( Get a good lawyer....and tell him he\'ll have to pay you back; friends had something like this happen to their \"A\" student at college....opened the door to a cop and he was holding. He spent the summer working hard to repay the legal expenses....At least it made an impression - The only bright side for you is that he is upset about the situation and he doesn\'t have the negative kinds of behavior that the other one does?! Try to rest.
Please keep an eye on him in college! I remember those times, or actually barely. Make sure he doesn\'t get into more trouble there. At least he feels bad about the incident. That\'s a plus. You\'d think they\'d learn by what they see...I guess it\'s those teenage hormones, or something? Hang in there!
