Well, we have the juvenile community diversion court tonight. I wish my son would admit to one of the charges. Back in June, the police found his backpack in the park (my son wasn't there) with pot paraphernalia. He claims it wasn't his stuff in the backpack and he wasn't there.......... so he feels he's not guilty. No matter how many times we try and change his mind, he won't budge. He is so stubborn.. We keep telling him that we don't want this dragged out anymore than it has and that we don't want to go downtown. And there are no guarantees that he will get off. On a positive note.......he's doing well in soccer. He's getting up and working hard at soccer. He is talented and enjoys it.........so maybe we will start to see better things happening....... Oh......and my husband and I played soccer last night and we did very well. We crushed the other team! We CAN'T believe we beat them, let alone crush them, because the whole team was young (20's) and talented. I think we surprised not only ourselves but them!

As for your son, I think the reasoning can be: No matter if the paraphernalia is his or not, it was in his abandoned backpack. Even we old folks can do the reasoning. Why would someone abandon \"good\" pot paraphernalia, leaving it in a \"stranger\'s\" abandoned backpack? Duh?.. Sorry, but he is beginning to tick ME off! Does he think we are all stupid! Well, we are not stupid enough to leave our backpack in the park for \"strangers\" to come along and fill with any kind of paraphernalia! Sorry to say, but I think if he \"got off,\" it would be a disaster. He is still young. He still has some smarts and interests. He has a lot going for him, not to mention good and caring parents! He better smarten up before he reaches his 20s and misses his chance to lose to old fogies in a soccer match! Take care!
