Friday and Saturday night were VERY rough.  My husband and I did not recognize our son.  I don't feel like getting into details because it saddens me.  Sunday, however, was better.  Today is better, too.  He got up and went to the first high school soccer practice of the season!  I am keeping my fingers crossed.  Maybe the soccer will help get him back on track.  Breaking his nose during soccer game contributed to this downward spiral.  I know that soccer isn't the full answer to getting better but it will help.... I hope.

Hopefully, this is a new group of kids for him to be hanging out with. Maybe this is important enough that he is going to be his best self, at least with the coach and other players. Soccer may be a short term solution, but without medication for the ADD will he able to keep up his grades/behavior in school such that he doesn\'t get kicked off the team (these are linked here - poor grades or behavior, no play). Keep looking to understand and deal with the underlying behavior/issues/emotions that has caused so much havoc this summer. In the meantime, be good to yourself. Take Care!
