"No rest from the weary"......I couldn't have said it better myself......thanks PenPal. Again, I had little rest last night because when we called our son when his curfew time passed, he told us he wasn't feeling well and wasn't coming home again. And what does a parent do with that? Again....we called the police. This morning I noticed his room door was slightly ajar and so I peeked in. And guess who was sleeping so soundly? I am so relieved but, at the same time, I want to shake him! The only explanation of this unruly behavior is drugs. Even if we messed up everything in the parenting department (and I'm not saying that) but IF we had.....his unruliness wouldn't happen out of the blue like this. He is so short and flies of the handle so quickly, I am afraid to parent him. The court date is on Tuesday....so far away. I have a counseling session set up next week also. Thank goodness it's Friday because I will have my husband home for part of the weekend. I am not looking forward to calling the police and telling them he's home. Actually, I probably shouldn't. He's going to leave anyway and when he does......they will pick him up.

Please be strong...I have been in similar situations with my daughter...do not wear yourself down...Peace to you...
Your situation, while new to you, is not unfamiliar to the police. DO notify them that your son is home -- ultimately this will build your credibility with them and also allow them to redirect their resources -- Personally, I would start calling and visiting parents to let them know that your son has been missing curfew etc. and you would be happy to pick him up at XX time should he still be there. Also, if he is spending the night, would an adult give you a call.....You don\'t have to add any details about the situation, just that you care about his whereabouts only that you would appreciate communication directly from an adult.
Hang in there until the next counseling and court session!
Whoa, don\'t know what keys got pushed for that last bit...?! Typo or system??
