I wonder if I am imaging my son's situation a lot worse than it is. I have never, ever had a conversation with him that I suspected he was under any influence. I call him periodically throughout the day when he's out socializing with his friends and I always have a normal conversation with him. How many signs do I need, however, because there are plenty? I do this all the time with other things. Like when I was second guessing whether my middle son had depression or not. I guess I don't want to make the wrong move. Recently, when I made an attempt to step up the drug assessment process before the courts did......my son was very, very uncooperative. I had to bribe him to attend which wasn't the best idea of mine. In the session, after we (my son and I talked to the counselor) it was his turn to talk to her. She left it up to him since she gathered he wasn't going to cooperate. Of course, he said no. She then said she would talk to me and that he could either wait outside or go and wander around the various stores in the area. He asked her about where a certain shop was. She replied that she wasn't going to tell him where it was. Confused, I asked my son. He looked at me....(he's so cool) and said "It's a head shop - mom"). And how many signs to I need?

How can being a parent be so wonderful and be difficult and scary all at the same time. How many signs? Only one, if it is the right one. But of course, that is the problem and I understand that you do not want to make a wrong move. Personally, I prefer to use logic to analyze a situatuation, but here, I think you just have to follow your heart... You can\'t go wrong with that, at least now in the long run. BTW, I would not say that to everyone, but you have a good heart, so I say it to you.
I find that my insticts are my best friend...and I prefer to not let others influence them. I once made that mistake...follow YOUR HEART...
