It's prom day for my middle guy! My best friend and I (along with our hubbies) have been working these past few weeks (on and off) on the After Prom event. The After Prom is a huge, huge project and event that most of the students go to after the prom. The parents spend endless hours raising money and preparing for this occasion. Typically, between 20 to 30 grand is raised for all the decorations and activities. It's located at the school, but by the time all the decorations are finished...you would never know you were in the school. Early in the evening, because it's so spectacular, the school is open to the public so they can do the "walk through". This event has been a tradition for years and years. It's quite a production and the kids really enjoy it. Well....I'd better be going.....have to go back to the school this morning (we worked on our part and are almost finished) but we need to put the last touches on. After Prom goes on until 4 AM. I wish I could have slept in this morning.....to gear up for this - coffee works.Hopefully, the sun will come out later because it's been raining all morning. We've need the rain desperately (it's been so dry and hot) but wish it would have taken place tomorrow. For pictures, even with the sun out, it will be very muddy later. Oh well......
