Oh boy. This is the last week of work for me until I go back the end of August. Yipee...I guess.... Now I will be able to get some things done in the house...and have more time to prepare for my soon-to-be graduate. Oh boy. And the invitations from all his friends and some of our friends whose kids are graduting are piling in. It's overwhelming. I know I had better get my act in gear and send out invites. My mother-in-law is working me over on that one. I guess you could call me a baa-humbug because I am just not into the graduation party scene. I know I will have to change my attitude and make the most of it. And I had better get a better attitude about my son's grad party. He would never guess my lack of interest in this event because I talked him into having a party. I guess part of it is because more than half (on both sides) of the family cannot make it to the party....a real bummer. And 1/2 of our friends will only be able to attend part of it because of all the other parties. I know I will shake this dread ---maybe once the family room walls are finished. And I just can't make decisions. I want something different than what I had last time at my oldest's party but at the same time I keep going back to what we served last time. problems, problems...lol

Vacation starting in May?? Where do you teach? ;o)
Oh Boy.. I wonder if this is something new; the parties, that is.
My kids did not want parties and I did not push them, nor did they go to any parties that I recall... Mostly, it was hanging out with their best friends!! Well, congratulations on the graduate and good luck with the parties!!!

Enjoy your vacation! School ended last week for me, and I am excited to be able to work on my research for a while!
