It was wonderful having our oldest son home for Thanksgiving. He is a ray of sunshine! He's 19, going on 30. So grounded, so mature. He and his brothers had lots of fun laughing and enjoying each other's company! Just like old times. Boy, can those boys laugh together.

Since he's been gone, he grew a very thick beard while away at college. And when he walked in the front door, after being dropped off, swinging a duffle bag over his shoulder, I couldn't help but laugh and belt out a ho-ho-ho. I told him he looked like a young Santa! He got a big kick out of that!

I am glad I don't have to worry about our young Santa, but I really worry about our second fellow. He is doing okay, emotionally, these days, but his immune system seems so compromised when his sleeping schedule is changed. Vacation breaks from school wear him out. It isn't like he's staying up all that late, either.

Currently,he now is sick with a sinus infection, has a headache, and has a mouth full of canker sores. He hasn't had sores since August/September. He used to get them constantly, but now is on medication and seems to be helping a bit. I really think those ugly things is what started his depression to begin with. They would get so bad that he couldn't eat or talk. No fun. I hope he goes to school tomorrow. It isn't looking good. Hopefully, he will be able to.
