I have to add that I am so thrilled that the speaker out of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, will be able to speak to our son's school staff and teachers about mental health illnesses! She is coming all the way to Ohio! Guess we don't have anyone here who can do it! I actually found her on the Internet.

The teachers really, really need to be educated in this area! The cost is steep. Hopefully, my husband will be able to find some underwriters. Just need to get the principal to move fast on this because her schedule is filling up. It took him 6 months (after lots of reminders) to FINALLY seal a date for a speaker to come and speak to the students and parents about this issue. We don't have that luxury this time. I am going to be a little gnat to him, if he doesn't move fast enough. He's a passionate guy, very dedicated to our school, but when it comes to things like this....ya just have to light a little match to get him going! The teachers, I believe, perhaps need to educated more on this than the parents, because they see them the majority of the day. And they can be partners with the parents instead of foes. I couldn't believe the bristles I received from the teachers. There was only ONE who got it. Ironically, even the guidance counselor didn't understand!

So hopefully.....things will start happening!
