Why can't we (my son, husband, and I) seem to to be able to escape the black cloud that seems to be hovering over us?

We feel for our son. The good news is the medicine is working. At least, with all the bad things that have been happening, he's functioning ok. He's a great kid, but the events of August keep following him and we are having a difficult time putting them behind us. He recently was kicked out of the marching band and now at the play-off soccer game, the coach didn't put him in....even for a few minutes. He was so upset he walked away from the coach after the game. He then disappeared and took off. He normally wouldn't react like that, to not getting any game time in, but it was the straw that broke the camel's back. And being that it's his senior year, it really stinks. The school administration is responsible for part of the problem. We really feel abandoned by them. My husband told me that the principal went up to him, to shake his hand and my husband just ignored him, because he was so upset with the way they handled things with our son. I told my husband that he shouldn't have done that because even though it's our son's last year, we have another son who has 2 more years at the school. He said he couldn't help it. Things have to get better soon. Must be positive!
