Frustrated
I'm getting really frustrated with the medical community. Had an appointment for 9:45 this morning at the county health clinic but didn't get in till an hour later. That was bad enough, but I got there at 9:00 to do the paperwork. I'm sitting in the examination room, sharing it with an ambulance stretcher that has supplies stacked on it, when a new face walks through the door. Its my 3rd or is it my 4th doctor. I'm not sure. And he immediately starts going over my meds,,asking whether I'm still taking them. He's using the scientific names that I don't recognize since I never learned them, till I stopped him and told him I take 2 blood pressure pills, 2 pee pills, and a cholesterol pill. I confessed I'm only taking the morning pee pills because I'd be running to the bathroom all day instead of half a day and I tell him I'll take the afternoon one since my right leg stays swollen. I ask him if they got the results of the foot circulation tests run by the foot doc and he says they haven't. The foot doc hasn't called me about the results, nor my new diabetic shoes. But, they have called me about my bill. I ask the county doc what can be done about my nose. I'm killing a lot of trees because of all the tissue I'm using to blow my nose. He asks if I'm using the spray prescribed several months ago and I told him it never worked and I had told the docs about it. All that came out of the visit was he wanted me to quite smoking because of my emphysema(Really?) and wants to delay my blood tests for 2 weeks. A totally frustrating visit. And to top it all off, when I went to my car, a truck had parked so close I couldn't get in. I went back in the clinic and had them announce the truck had to be moved. After a 15 minute wait, I went to another part of the clinic to have it announced again. I finally had a man back the car out of the parking spot so I could get in. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggg!

How frustrating! I know I would be upset about that doctor visit too. I hate it when a strange doctor comes in and starts telling me his opinion of what I should do. And it\'s a damn shame that your foot doctor seems to only be thinking of $. Still, you should call him and ask for the results.
And so sorry about what happened with that car parked so close you couldn\'t even get in. VERY aggravating.

Things can get aggravating when going to a doctor. I know what my landlord\'s son went through and it was horrible. I seen with him how little life is valued when a person doesn\'t have insurance. After you go to get in your car, you just wish to leave and you can\'t and that really stinks too. I know I got a shot one day for pain, back when I had insurance of course, and they told me to drive right home. I only lived a few blocks away, well, that didn\'t happen either because a car was parked in back of my car with the building in front of my car, and it was heck.
I love your names for your meds, now that is the correct way to name them. Hugs to a special friend.
