2012

2012 wasn't a good year for me.  I lost a very special person and a very special companion.  My aunt passed away a few months ago.  She was my last aunt and had been a mother to me after my mom died.  She was there to offer rides when my car needed repair and a kick in my pants when I needed it.  She remembered my birthday with a card and a call and always sent a Christmas card.  She checked up on me from time to time, calling to see if I was alright.  I lost my companion of 14 years.  I've never loved an animal more in my life as I loved Foxy.  She was always there for me and went through the hells I went through.  She was there went I cried in pain when I went through my bouts of mrsa years ago and the pain of my knee operation that never fully healed.  She went through the month we had no heat in the winter because the gas was cut off, huddling under the electric blanket with me at night and staying in my lap during the day so we could warm each other.  She went through the stays in the kennel while I was in the hospital with mrsa and for a long time, worried that I wasn't coming back when I left the house.  There were times of cheap dog food and no treats.  She shared my meals which wasn't good for her, but she did love pizza.  She will never be forgotten.  I gained 3 new doctors and my have lost one.  A foot doctor, sleep doctor, and muscle doctor were added to the many doctors I have had.  I may have lost my favorite doctor at the county clinic.  Another doctor has seen me the last 3 visits.  I hope not.  He really seemed to care.  I officially went on social security after being on disability for a year.  My health has been up and down, but luckily, no thoughts of suicide.  Kit came into my life and while there wasn't that immediate connection that I had with Foxy, he is a joy.  I can't say I'm looking forward to 2013, but with any luck, I can survive.
