Journal
I have a friend here who seems to always be down. She writes long journals that are always sad. I've read all of them since we became friends, but have been unable to respond. She has been and is going through a lot. She's sought help without any results. Her outlook on life is down. There are no words that can console her. I worry about her every day. She's gotten the fuzzy end of the lollipop. I know there are many people here that have big problems. I've had my share and luckily have gotten the support I need from my friends here and my family. I wish there was a magic wand I could wave and make her life better. I wish I could reach out to her and physically give her a big hug,,,hold her,,and make her believe things will get better. I wish I could guide her to the right places to get the help she needs. But, I can't. It frustrates me. If she reads this(she normally reads my journals), I hope she doesn't get mad and upset with me. I'm writing this because I truly care about her. I wish her only the best in life. Friend, I don't respond to your journals because I don't know how I can help you. I wish I could give a part of what gives me a positive outlook on life to you. In fact, I'd give it all(maybe a little bit for me) if it would make you feel better.

You have experienced the deep despair that allows us to question the viability of our lives. You were able to reach out and \'connect\' to get the help to save your life. The journey has not been easy but you have managed it one step at a time. I think what helps the most is our sharing - being human together. Life was never meant to be a \'solo act\' to be sure. What I believed was \'truth\' over my lifetime did not stand the \'reality test\' with cancer combined with the death of my husband leaving me to cope without his income in a world that says, \'MONEY MATTERS and if you don\'t have the MONEY then YOU DON\'T MATTER\'. I never realized people are literally left as if dead when coping with such crisis. I have acceptance and this allows me to adapt over time.
Gentle ((hugs)) for all of us as the journey in our lives may at times be beyond us in so many ways. May we come to value one another more than we do money and then life would be so much better for everyone. For the good - we are thankful.
