Tired

I'm getting TIRED.  TIRED of the heat.  TIRED of being bored.  TIRED of not being able to find a job.  TIRED of looking for a job and knowing no one will hire me.  TIRED of knowing I still have more to contribute.  TIRED of not getting a good night's sleep. TIRED of thinking I have nothing to do when I get up in the morning.  TIRED of worrying about money.  TIRED of worrying about food.  TIRED of worrying whether I'll have the money for the prescriptions I need.  And, I'm TIRED of a system where, after working my whole life, makes it difficult to get the benefits I paid for and extra when I'm in no condition to work, while some get benefits for not living responsibly!

It is just overwhelming - I can so relate. I was out in the garden today and even through I could not do much it was a break from thinking about life and the challenges I face. The world rather \'melts\' away out there. I have learned to eat very simply and have stocked up on beans/split peas along with making flour/water/salt - tortillas with my pastry machine that rolls them flat for browning on the griddle. That makes good food wraps for the beans. I set out some potatoes I purchased in the sun to see if this will make them sprout so I can try growing some. Potatoes cook up nice in the microwave and I drizzle a little oil and salt them and it tastes pretty good.

Do you have WorkNet in TX - it is spelled on word? I used this service for my last job hunt and they allowed me to prepare my resume and helped a lot. They also hook people up with job interviews. They provide the services for free and some even have training programs. Just a thought - it is all I can think of right now.

Disability and poverty are two issues I have not handled very well. I never had poverty as long as my husband was alive and with his support the disability was doable. I try not to think much about life now.

I\'m here and I care - you are in my thoughts.

I\'m tired of this whole rat race too. What the heck have we busted our butts for during the course of our lifetimes so we can sit back and watch how others collect from the sweat of our brows? How come it comes so easy to some, but not so easy for us? Why are the good punished and the rotten no-goods get to walk away laughing? I\'m sorry about the little rant of my own... just got some horrific news tonight and i guess i\'m not myself. I\'m just tired. Hugs, Deb :o(
