Hand
My right hand is getting worse. My handwriting has never been the best. In fact, during high school I had to print everything because my teachers couldn't read it. Thank goodness for typewriters. Could never had done my college work without them. But now, my printing is going. I can't put enough pressure on the paper to make good letters. It looks like hen scratch. And, I've noticed my right arm is smaller than the left. My right arm has always been the stronger of the two. If things don't improve, I'll have to retire or apply for disability.

I\'m sorry to hear about the troubles you have been going through lately. It just doesn\'t rain, it pours, doesn\'t it? Sometimes i think that if it wasn\'t for bad luck i\'d have no luck at all. In the meantime, you should start practicing with your left hand and teach yourself to write with that one... hey, it couldn\'t be any worse, could it? I am ambedextrious (sic), write with my left hand, do everything else pretty much with my right. It wouldn\'t be hard for me to switch from one to the other. Take care, i hope things improve for you really soon. You\'re in my thoughts. Much hugs and kisses, Deb :o)
First of all..men often write without the best handwriting abilities..lol..sorry but women write better 9 times out of 10...lol. So you needing to use a typewriter in school ,doesn\'t surprise me..ahaha.
As far as the arm being smaller than the other one..well how much smaller? Because being a little smaller is normal..one leg is usually shorter, one eye is usually different from the other too..but these things aren\'t noticable unless you are really looking for it usually. So if it\'s just a little smaller then it is probably normal. If it is a lot..well, that\'s different...and if it is muscle..it is probably due to lack of use because you have been having trouble using it lately . My right arm is stronger than my left too..that is normal. The predominant arm we use most is always the stronger one.
But you do have a definite problem of course and you and we know that by recent events of course. Debbie is right..try to train your left one to be the predominant one and have it do the majority of things rather than the right. Won\'t be easy but you should really try to because if you rely on the right as you have your whole life and it continues to weaken..you will be very frustrated in doing many things..the left can do it..it just will take some determination and training.Try ONLY using the left for things like stirring pots on the stove, turning on faucets, etc. then play with writing now and again with it...til you master it with minimal difficulty.
As far as the disability ,etc...well I kinda think you should maybe think about doing that anyway..rest now. You have some major things to deal with healthwise..it cannot be easy working . You have earned that time to rest..besides as you\'ve said jobs are hard to find now..even for 20 year olds Mike..people our age really have it tuff finding work at this time..I hope your hand etc, gets better I am praying for that..but I worry about how hard you push yourself..I wish you could relax now and you and foxy go enjoy nature ..volunteer work for things you feel strongly about can help with boredom if you want ..but taking pressure off yourself to find a job..well I just think if you CAN get relief from that..maybe it would be a good thing..?
love to you always- Sue
