THANKSGIVING
Today is a day for Thanksgiving. And, although I'm going through some painful health problems, I still have a lot to be thankful for. A little less than a year ago I lost my job of 19 years. But, in less than an month I got a job that I enjoy. I have a roof over my head,,,good food on the table,,,heat,,I can pay my bills,,,and I have Foxy. And I have good neighbors. Neighbors I didn't know noticed me or were concerned about me. Neighbors that watch over me. Remember the neighbor who mowed my yard after his wife saw my leg in the doctor's office. I guess he and others had seen me painfully going down the steps to let Foxy out and walking to get the newspaper. They'd seen me wearing latex gloves to heal my hands and painfully getting in my car to go to work, And while typing this journal, there was a knock on my door. It was my next door neightbor, another one, and he had a plate of food for me. And though I told him I had my dinner in the oven, he insisted I take it. It might be something different he said. I guess he thought I wasn't able to cook a good holiday meal. And what a meal it is! A big bowl of Thanksgiving cheer. I still have problems, but I still have a lot to be thankful for!!
