It's Texas,,,,weather. It's 37 degrees a little before 5 this morning. It's supposed to be spring! But, it's cold! I took my electric blanket off the bed last week. Been using the air conditioner! But it's 37 degrees. It'll be 42 tonight. Luckily, I've got some blankets that I put on the bed. And why am I on DS this time of the morning? Well, I'm in transition for my job. Went to bed last night around 10 to get up this morning at 3 so I could go back to bed at 7 this morning, so I can get up at 3 this afternoon so I can be at work at 6 this evening. Uh-huh. I've got the 6PM-2:30AM shift the next 3 days. Then, I'll go back to the "normal" 2:30AM-1PM shift Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Uh-huh. I'm really too old to do this, but I must. I need the job and the 14 hours overtime won't hurt either. We'll see what happens next week. I hear another guy is getting some time off. I'm gonna lose 3 weeks' vacation time this year because I worry that we're short-handed. That's gonna change. If nobody else worries about being short-handed, neither will I. I'll get my 4 weeks vacation in the coming years. I've never taken all the vacation time I've had since I've been with the company. That's gonna change. It's cold!

I know what you mean as far as getting too old for this when it comes to work. But, as you said, it needs to be done. I\'m just thankful that I don\'t have the hrs. you do b/c I wouldn\'t be able to do it. LOL I\'m glad that you\'re hanging in there, though & you\'re right. Don\'t worry about the work stuff. You have enough going on & don\'t need to be worried about that. PUT IN FOR SOME VACATION TIME!!! You need it. Don\'t make me come there. LOL

You should take your vacation time, Mike. If you don\'t the only one benefiting from that is your company. They come to rely on you NOT taking all your vacation and being there to cover for them, but they sure like it when they can take theirs. I see the same thing in my job... this year i\'m entitled to 4 weeks vacation and believe you me, i\'m taking them, even if i have to sit at home and stare at the wall, lol. I am laughing now because when I change my bed I was thinking of taking off the electric blanket. But decided against it. Thank goodness. In was in the 40\'s here last night. And I am cold right now and it is 4.40 in the evening. It is called Texas.
I get dizzy just reading your hours. None of this 9-5 for you. If you are able to handle it and the money is good, go for it. Just try to stay as healthy as possible.
