In honor of the irises, I've put a picture of my mom in my photo section. Some of you have seen it, but I thought it was appropriate to return it here. Her name was Opal Louise, but her friends and family called her "Shine". My dad gave her that name because she was like a ray of sunshine to him. She refused to let her hair turn gray. And she refused to have her grand kids call her granny or grandma. She was "Momma Shine" to them. Regardless of the age of her grand kids,(She had 5) she was always the center of attention at family get-togethers. No woman was ever more loved by her family than she was. It was an honor and a previledge to call her my Mom.

Your mom was really pretty. I can see why she was called Shine. I\'m sorry you are missing her. Funny, my Kelly was my ball of sunshine, for a little while at least.
