I have to stay awake!  It's hard.  I can't go to sleep till 4 this afternoon.  I'm transitioning for my new work schedule.  Worked 1PM-11:30PM yesterday.  My next 3 shifts will be 2:30AM-1PM so the 4PM bedtime is needed.  That means I'll get up at 11:30PM today.  After this transition, the next 2 sleep times should be easier.  But, I'm having trouble staying awake.  And that's as it should be since I'll will have been awake for more than 24 hours.  I've had all the coffee I can handle.  Watching a movie didn't help.  Dozed off.  As I did just watching TV.  Computer poker didn't help.  Plus, I've eaten more since I got home.  A strange thing happens when I'm really sleepy.  I feel like I'm drunk.  Have a hard time walking.  I'm dizzy.  Foxy can't figure out what's going on.  When I got dressed to go to work yesterday, she thought we were going somewhere.  It was a big letdown when I left her here.  Don't know what to do.  If I try to take a nap at this point,(it's almost 9AM) I'll wake up "Drunk".  So what do I do?

Hi Mike. Is your blood sugar getting thrown off whack with trying to adjust to the new sleep pattern? Do you have any projects to work on to occupy yourself so you don\'t doze off?

I made it to 2PM, 2 hours early, and went to bed. Seems that\'s what I needed to do. Slept at the way to 11:30. Going to try to find a project. Maybe ceramics. Used to do that when my mom was alive.

I don\'t have crazy work hours, just sleep patterns. I fall asleep around midnight & I ALWAYS wake up at 4:30 A.M. & I\'m wide awake. What does one do at that hour? I know what you do. You work. LOLOLOL Keep a check on your gluc. especially with the crazy hrs. High #\'s can make you feel drunk, also. Hope ya caught up & got the proper rest. Take care of yourself,K? Thinkin of ya.....Anna

Hi Mike,
Seems they really have you in a tizzy right now. But you know our bodies tend to adjust and before long you will be OK until they change them again. I too amd wondering what it is doing to your BS. Eating would be a problem for me.
Take care
Doreen

Are you going to have any time off this weekend? Hope you can catch up. Isn\'t it wonderful to have a dog that cares! Hugs, Sue
