Heard a horrible sound the other day. As I took Foxy to the back yard, I heard it. It gave me chills all over. It was a lawn mower!!! A lawn mower in February!! Even in Texas it's too soon for that. Granted, we're having a mild winner. In fact, Mother Nature can't figure out what she wants to do around here. One day it's in the 70's and one night it's near freezing. About the only thing I don't like about living in a house is mowing the lawn. It's a real pain. And this year it's going to be worse. I'm going to take a big stab at actually having grass in my back yard. That's going to mean renting a rowtiller to open some big patches in the weeds to plant St. Augistine or Bermuda grass. It's gonna be higher water bills. Weeds grow fine in the back yard thanks to the bird feeders, but grass is prettier. I'll see what happens. On another note, I'm really getting tired of worrying about my health. If I get a headache, I wonder about diabetes. If my foot hurts, I worry. If my foot doesn't hurt, I worry. If I feel dizzy, I worry. If I feel tired, I worry. Another example has happened in the last couple of days. I've been making more than normal trips to the bathroom. And they haven't been pleasant if you know what I mean. So, I worried. And I thought,,what was different about the last couple of days. Then, I realized the difference. I've been seeing a lot of commercials on TV about a certain food. Now, in convenient single packages. Maybe you've seen them. I haven't had this food in a long time and remembered I liked them. So, I bought some. And they lived up to their reputation. Have you figured out what I'm talking about? Prunes! Those bitesize, chewing, dark morsels of sweetness. Thank God I ate them on my days off! I won't be eating them for a long, long time. Anybody want an opened package of prunes? I'll mail them to you free of charge.

Worry!!! I chose not to worry. I am learning that people blame too many things on a disease like diabetes. I learned that because my big toe hurt don\'t think diabetes. Think back on where I may have kicked something . If my back hurt I may have slept wrong for an hour or more. bottom line as we go older pain is a normal thing. don\'t try to attach it to diabetes. Believe me I am old and have learned and am learning to trust God in everything. It is working for me. I wake up every day pain free.
By the way this morning there was a program on TV speaking about fasting from worry.
Prunes. I always keep a package in my pantry.
Hope you enjoy how much fun you are going to have this spring working in that yard.
Texas weather, blink your eyes and it will Change.
Have a great day
I\'m glad you realized it was the prunes that were cleanin you out! Don\'t send \'em to me - the metformin does that to me every day as it is!!!
