It's Monday morning. The laundry has been washed and dried. It'll be folded either later today or tomorrow depending on what I get done or the mood I'm in. I'm sitting here in a pair of gym shorts and a t-shirt. I mention this because it's a far cry from the sweat shirt and pants I've had to wear the last few weeks. Such is the weather in central Texas. We never have a true winter. Just "spurts" of it. We've had a warming trend the last couple of days, yet I had to scrape frost off my windshield Sunday morning when I got off work. The high today is supposed to be in the high 60's to the mid 70's depending on which TV station you listen to. We even had a winter weather advisory late late week and all the stations went crazy. A winter weather advisory around here means that there was a POSSIBILITY of freezing rain or sleet. A winter mix was possible meaning some snow might bethrown into the mix. All my friends up north(and have more of you than southern) would get a kick out of what happens when it snows here. People go crazy. An inch can cause several auto accidents. About 30 years go, when I was news director at a local radio station, our area got a foot of snow. I know the amount because I got to my job before it started and measured the top of my car as it came down. 500 cars and trucks were stranded on I-35 in 50 mile stretch. The only thing we have to move snow around are road graders and they're not much help. So, I'm in shorts and T-shirt. Enough about the weather. With due diligence and applications of ointment, the excema on my legs is going away. The itching and pain are gone. The scabs are healing and the redness is turning pink. My hands are getting better, although some new cracks have appeared on my fingers and they're still tender. But, all in all, it's better than last week. I made some adjustments to one of my bird feeders. I enlarged a couple of openings to allow better access to the sunflowers seeds. I watched a couple of cardinals the other day as they went after the sunflowers seeds. It's amazing what they can do with their beaks to get the kernal out of the shell! I'm going to stop supplying my ground feeder. The larger birds have learned to come up to the feeders. It's a little harder for them, but I'm selfish. I can't see them on the ground and I want to watch them. I've found that they don't like 2 "treats" I put out,,,shelled pecans and raisins. That was a surprise. I thought they'd jump at an easy meal. So, that's it for now. I might be back with another entry later today. Have a good one.

I\'m happy that you\'re feeling better.
Mike that is more like it. Glad to see you are in a better mood today. I am not brave enough to put on my shorts yet. Still have on my sweat shirt and pants thick socks and tennis shoes. As we say in Texas I am fixing to do a little washing myself. And clean out my clothes closet.
Just bought a 32\" LCD HD TV Saturday. My son got it hooked up I did my part I put the batteries into the control. I think I will call the cable people and have them set me up with digital since I just have standard. And we all have to go digital 1n 2009.
Anyway. I hope we get better weather. I need to get back into the Gym
You enjoy your day with the birds.
