It seems I need structure in my life. I'm addicted to the clock, but that's not enough. I've been noticing that on my work days, I eat better and take my meds at the proper times. I eat more smaller meals on work days. I eat less on my days off. On my days off, I don't take the second dosage of Janumet, cinnamon, and fish oil. In fact, on my first day off when I'm dozing all day, I don't take any of my meds. The structure just isn't there. I've got to build structure into my days off. Especially since I have 3 days off in a row.On another note, one of my friends' journal mentioned touch. I know that in this day and time, it's hard, even dangerous to touch someone unless they're a relative. But do touch your relatives. Touch the sick and the sad. When I had my bypass surgery, I was unconsious for 3 days. During that time time, I drifted in and out. I was told I did and said things I don't remember. But I remember touch. According to what I was told, I really looked bad. Very pale,,,almost white as a sheet, had tubes coming out of my stomach and neck and the staples holding my chest together and going down my leg where they had taken a vein out to do the bypasses were not covered. But, I remember my sisters and my mom touching me,,,,on my arms, my left leg, and my head. That was so comforting! And I remember my mind crying out for someone to touch me. I couldn't say anything and I couldn't move, but my mind cried out for touch. And my mind eased when I was touched. My relationship with my dad would have been a lot better if he'd just touched me. So please, touch someone. It means so much!

Touch really helps me when I\'m really sick and someone just rubs my back or holds my hand. I remember always holding my grandmothers hand when I went to visit her.
So true what you said about touch and how it is so
important for us as humans to be touched and loved.
