It's been an interesting, but relatively an uneventful day.  Got the laundry done.  Will fold it tomorrow.  And I read up on wild birds.  As some of you know, I have had bird feeders up over a week, but no visitors.  As a last ditch effort, I put out the half of pumpkin pie left over from Thanksgiving.  Very proud of myself for not eating all of it.  Anyway, I got on the internet to find something to lure the birds in.  As I was looking at the first webpage, a little nuthatch came to one of the feeders!  Then, another and another came down.  Some doves flew around.  When I took Foxy out, a few house finches hit the feeder hanging in the tree.  Good signs.  I've, also put a pan of water out for them beside the pie.  While looking at the websites, I found a use for the bacon grease I've been accumulating.  I put it in a coffee can when I fry the bacon, and usually cap it, put it in 2 plastic grocery bags and throw it away.  No more.  It seems there are birds out there that would their last beak tooth for a dip in in the grease.  Plus, I can use those tuna cans I empty each week.  The site said to put the grease in the cans, and put them in the refrigerator or freezer and harden them up.  Then, put the can out where they can get to it.  Now, that's what I call recyling.  A better use for it than landfill space.  So overall, it's been a good day.  I'm getting my cable reconnected tomorrow, so I won't be bugging yall so much.  All together now, "Awwwwwww"  Have a good one.
